M-9001 Fully Automatic Snap Attaching Machine
The MICRON® M-9001 is designed for high-volume industrial installation of 61 System Ring Snaps and 54 System Spring Snaps.
The automatic hopper and feeding-channel system supplies the snap components directly to the setting area, helping manufacturers maintain fast and repeatable production. Dedicated Cap & Socket / Stud & Pin Machines
A complete snap consists of four components.
For full production, the M-9001 uses two dedicated machines:
- Cap & Socket Machine
- Stud & Pin Machine
The Cap & Socket machine automatically feeds and installs the cap and socket components.
The Stud & Pin machine automatically feeds and installs the stud and pin components.
Therefore, customers producing the complete four-part snap assembly use two M-9001 units.

Fixed Factory Configuration
Each M-9001 is manufactured and tooled for a specific:
- Snap System
- Snap Size
- Component Pair
- Feeding Channel Configuration
The machine does not use an interchangeable die system.
The dies, hoppers, and feeding channels are prepared for the selected snap configuration. The User Guide likewise warns that the machine is tooled and tested for a specific fastener and that retooling requires appropriate factory guidance and safety provisions. M-9001 User’s Guide
Supported Snap Systems
The M-9001 can be manufactured for:
61 System Ring Snaps: #12.5 (12 Ligne) through #17 (28 Ligne)
54 System Spring Snaps: #12.5 (12 Ligne) through #17 (28 Ligne)
Available configurations depend on the selected snap design and factory setup.
Custom Sizes & Configurations
Customers who require a snap size or configuration different from our current stock can order a custom-built M-9001.
Estimated production lead time is approximately 6–8 weeks.
For custom production, the customer must send samples of:
- Actual Snap Components
- Application Fabric or Material
These samples should be sent directly to our factory.
We use the customer’s actual snaps and material to manufacture, adjust, and test the machine for the required application.
Automatic Feeding System
The M-9001 uses dedicated hoppers and feeding channels to automatically deliver the snap components to the upper and lower dies.
The operator positions the material using the laser alignment point and activates the cycle with the foot pedal. M-9001 User’s Guide
Because the feeding system is designed around a specific snap size and geometry, correct snap dimensions and component consistency are important for reliable automatic production.
Compression Adjustment
The machine allows adjustment for different material thicknesses.
The lower die position can be adjusted when the snap installation is too loose or too tight, allowing the operator to fine-tune compression for the application. M-9001 User’s Guide

Customer Snap & Material Testing
After placing a custom-machine order, customers send their actual snap components and application material directly to our factory.
We use these samples to prepare and test the M-9001 for the customer’s specific snap and material.
A performance test video can also be provided for review.
Pre-Shipment Machine Testing
We test each M-9001 using the specified snap configuration.
We can also provide a performance test video of the customer’s actual machine with its serial number for identification.

The M-9001 ships by freight in a wood crate.
